Both the men and women’s basketball season began on November 1.  The women played an exhibition game that day against McKendree’s Junior Varisty team, and the men played against John Wood College.  How have both teams’ seasons progressed since then?
The women’s basketball team has played four games since that exhibition game.  They won three of which they won.
The St. Louis Community College Archers won against Logan College of Chiropractic, Kennedy-King and Lincoln trail colleges.
The one team that they lost against was Malcolm X college by 14 points.
Tonight they will play against Logan College of Chiropractic again at 5:30 p.m.  Will it be another win for the Archers?
If you can’t make it to tonight’s game but you would still like to see the women’s basketball team in action they will play again this weekend at the STLCC Classic.  They will play both on Friday and Saturday at the Forest Park campus.
Their first game this weekend will be against Salt Lake at 7 p.m., and their second game is against Kaskaskia at 4 p.m.
The men’s basketball team has also been successful so far this season.  They have won four out of their first seven games.

Two of the three teams that they lost against are NJCAA Division 1 teams.  Those teams were Southwestern Illinois College and Kaskaskia College.  The third team that defeated the Archers was John Wood College, which is a NJCAA Division 2 team.
Tonight, the Archers will get another chance at victory as they play against Missouri Baptist’s Junior Varsity team.  The game starts at 7:30 p.m. at Forest Park.
