The 8th Annual Bowling for Scholars event will be Friday, April 20, at Tropicana Lanes, 7960 Clayton Road, Richmond Heights, MO. The event helps St. Louis Community College students by providing scholarships for textbooks, eBooks, art supplies and software.
For a $100 donation, you can get a team of five members together, each person receiving a ball, shoe rental and a commemorative T-shirt. Or, become a 50th Anniversary All-Star Team for $250 and get your team's name above a lane.
If you're not able to bowl, don't worry, there are still many ways to you can contribute to this worthy cause. You can make a donation at the bookstore cash register, auction online or become a sponsor for the event by contacting the Foundation office at 314-539-5216. Everyone can participate in the online auction where you can donate items and or bid on fantastic items. The online auction will run from 8 a.m. April 2 through 11 p.m. April 16. The list of online auction items include hotel packages, museum tours, vacation packages, hot air balloon ride, autographed Rams football, jewelry, golf packages, Kindles, iPads, Xboxes dinner gift cards and much more.
You can either bid on a particular item or choose the Buy Now option.

Also, there is the pin-decorating contest. It's a great way to help the cause and possibly win a great prize for the best entry. All funds raised are donated to student scholarships. Pin entries are due to the bookstore by April 11. |
