League for Innovation Literary and Art Competition Winners

Among the award winners for the Innovation in the Community College’s annual Student Literary and Art Competitions were two St. Louis Community College students. The second-place award winner of the literary competition was Terrence D. Dixon, for his poem titled, “In a Minor Key.” Dixon also garnered a second-place award in poetry in the 2010-11 competition. This year’s literary competition was hosted by Sante Fe College and included 56 literary works. The other St. Louis Community College student that received an award was Ben Hunt, from the Forest Park campus. In a competition that included 95 works of art, Hunt obtained a Juror’s Choice Award in the Student Art Competition for his charcoal piece titled “Intimidation.” Maricopa Community College hosted this year’s art competition.
