Holcomb And Miller Lead Lady Archers To Season Success

The Archers Women’s Basketball team won big over the weekend. The ladies beat Metropolitan Community College- Penn Valley in Kansas City, Mo. with a whopping 84-43 final score on Sunday night. The game which was scheduled for Saturday, February 20th was rescheduled due to inclement weather. 

The team saw strong performances from their teammates, Deborah Holcomb who scored 26 points throughout the game and Khalia Miller was right behind her with 23 points.                                                                                                                                                                                          

The ladies boast a strong record of 23-6. Head Coach Shelly Ethridge says,” The team is more like a close knit family.”  Ultimately teamwork seems to be the key ingredient this season.  

The Archers next game will be on February 28, 2015 at the Region XVI Tourney in Joplin, Mo.  Don’t miss out on seeing these ladies play this season, there are only a few games left. GO Archers!!
