The St. Louis Community College Center of Workforce Innovation (CWI) offers No-Fee Technical Job training in three different professions.  These programs are grant funded and offered for limited periods of time at no cost to qualified students. The programs include training for manufacturing jobs such as Certified Logistics Technician.  This certification only requires 80 hours of training over a 15-day time period. The Center for Workforce Innovation is also offering a course for a Commercial Driver’s License(CDL).
According to Becky Epps,  Program Manager for the Workforce Solutions Group, “Truck driving jobs are in high demand right now so it’s a perfect resource to use.” Job interviews are also available after successfully completing the program. The third program offered is certification in aviation jobs. This program includes an 8-week course in Avionics or a course in Aviation Maintenance Technology. For more information on how to get started contact the CWI at 314-513-4600, or www.stlcc.edu/MRTDL.  Or visit the Center for Workforce Innovation located on the Florissant Valley campus at 3344 Pershall Road, St. Louis, MO 63135.
