Day Of Silence is a student lead day of action, where students take a vow of silence to bring attention to bullying and harassment of the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) communities and their allies.
The National Day Of Silence is Friday, April 17th .
Due to the relatively small numbers of classes on Friday Florissant Valley will be observing the movement on Thursday, April 16th.
Students who wish to participate can wear a button that says "Day of Silence" and those who wish to support without being silent will receive a button that has the word "Ally".
You can pick up a button in the Student Center hallway from 11:00am-1pm.
