Prioritizes health and safety
STLCC-Flo Valley welcomes students back to campus for a Fall
Semester after a long absence due to the Coronavirus 19 pandemic. Students
filtered back to Flo Valley enrolled in a variety of classes including
face-to-face, hybrid, live virtual lecture and online.
The college took numerous precautions to ensure the health and safety of students, staff, faculty and community in line with St. Louis County Health Department and the Center of Disease Control (CDC) guidelines. Cleaning and sanitizing procedures were increased
Health and safety guidelines were designed for STLCC campuses to follow in order to deter the spread of COVID. The guidelines include:
- STLCC
requires all employees, students and visitors to wear masks and maintain a
social distance at all locations, regardless of vaccination status.
- Masks
are required at the Child Development Laboratory Center at
STLCC-Florissant Valley.
- Masks
are required in the dental clinic at the Center for Nursing and Health
Sciences at STLCC-Forest Park.
- Wash
hands frequently.
- If
an employee tests positive for COVID-19 or is exposed to the virus, they
must notify their supervisor immediately. If the employee is on campus,
they must leave immediately.
- If a student tests positive for COVID-19 or is exposed to the virus, they should email: covid19@stlcc.edu . If the student is on campus, they must leave immediately.
Fall
Welcome Week activities included giveaways at decorated informational tables
for Campus Life and TRIO Offices and COVID vaccination events on August 25 and
26. A total of 30 students receiving COVID shots at the Florissant Valley
campus. The two-day total of the district-wide vaccination events at all four
STLCC campuses resulted in 165 students getting vaccinated. Students received incentives such as gift
bags, laptop computers and $100. Enrolled students who were previously
vaccinated against COVID-19 are also eligible to receive the $100 incentive
with proof of vaccination by Oct. 29. For more information on STLCC’s COVID-19
